12 Best Christmas Laser Cut Houses & Lanterns for 2026
There’s something extra cozy about Christmas projects that light up.
Tiny wooden houses, glowing Christmas villages, layered lanterns and little gingerbread houses can turn a simple sheet of plywood into holiday decor you’ll actually want to bring out every December.
I went through Christmas laser cut designs on Creative Fabrica and picked 12 projects that stood out to me. I didn’t want to fill this list with twelve versions of the same wooden house, so you’ll find a mix of Christmas laser cut houses, lanterns, villages, night lights and layered designs.
Some are simple tabletop decorations, while others can become the centerpiece of a Christmas display.

Here are my favorites.
1. Christmas Tree Lantern SVG Bundle
This one immediately caught my attention because it doesn’t look like a typical Christmas lantern.
Instead of a traditional box-shaped design, the structure curves into the shape of a Christmas tree with a small illuminated lantern hanging inside. The bundle includes several different Christmas scenes, including reindeer, Santa and a nativity design.
It would look beautiful on a mantel, shelf or Christmas table, especially with a warm LED light inside.
Best for: statement Christmas decor, illuminated displays and handmade gifts.

2. Laser Cut Christmas House SVG
If you’re looking for classic Christmas laser cut houses, this is exactly the kind of project I picture.
The set includes several detailed wooden houses that can be displayed together to create a small Christmas village. I especially like the cutout details because adding lights inside can completely change the look after dark.
You could keep the wood natural for a Scandinavian-style display or paint the houses white, red or green for a more traditional Christmas look.
Best for: Christmas villages, mantel decor and illuminated wooden houses.

3. Layered Christmas Lantern SVG Bundle
These layered lanterns are a nice option if you want something more detailed than a traditional wooden lantern.
Each design builds depth through several laser-cut layers, creating a miniature winter scene inside the lantern. Add LED lighting behind the layers and the whole project becomes much more dramatic.
This is also one of those designs that could work well as a handmade Christmas gift because it looks finished and decorative without needing lots of extra embellishment.
Best for: layered laser projects, Christmas lighting and handmade gifts.

4. Miniature Christmas Village
I love miniature projects, and this little village is one of the cutest designs in the list.
It combines small houses with evergreen trees to create a complete tabletop Christmas scene rather than just a single building. There’s also room to add LED lighting, which would make the houses glow from inside.
I’d keep this one fairly simple — natural wood, a little white paint or artificial snow would probably be enough.
Best for: tabletop Christmas villages and small illuminated displays.

5. Cute Gingerbread House 3D Layered SVG
Not every Christmas laser project needs to look like natural wood.
This layered gingerbread house is much more playful, with lots of little candy-inspired details that would look great painted in traditional gingerbread colors.
Because it’s built from layers rather than as a traditional miniature building, it also gives the list a completely different style from the wooden Christmas houses above.
This could be especially fun for decorating a kitchen, kids’ room or Christmas sweets table.
Best for: colorful Christmas decor and layered laser cutting projects.

6. Christmas Tree Night Light – Set of 3
These little Christmas tree night lights are probably some of the most giftable projects in the collection.
The set includes three designs with different winter scenes inside the tree-shaped frames. Once illuminated, the layered details become the main feature.
They’re compact enough for a shelf, bedside table or desk, but still decorative enough to become part of a larger Christmas display.
Best for: Christmas gifts, night lights and small-space holiday decor.

7. Christmas Village Light Stands Bundle
If you like the idea of a Christmas village but don’t necessarily want to build lots of individual miniature houses, these light stands are an interesting alternative.
The designs combine village silhouettes with layered illuminated scenes, creating the feeling of a little winter town in a much more compact format.
I could see several of these arranged together along a mantel or windowsill.
Best for: modern Christmas villages, windowsill decor and LED displays.

8. Christmas Centerpiece Lampshade Bundle
This project is a little different from everything else in the collection — and that’s exactly why I included it.
Instead of another house or traditional lantern, these designs work as decorative Christmas lampshades or illuminated centerpieces.
They could look especially beautiful in the middle of a Christmas table with warm LED lighting inside.
Best for: Christmas table decor, centerpieces and illuminated decorations.

9. House Christmas Lantern
This is closer to the classic Christmas house lantern style.
The little building has decorative cutouts that allow light to shine through the walls, giving it that cozy miniature-house look once an LED candle is placed inside.
It’s simple enough to fit into almost any Christmas decor style and could easily be customized with paint, stain, snow effects or small greenery around the base.
Best for: cozy Christmas decor, LED candles and wooden house displays.

10. Wooden Gingerbread House Laser Cut Files
This gingerbread house has a very different feel from the colorful layered version earlier in the list.
It’s a more traditional 3D wooden construction, so you can leave it natural for a minimalist look or decorate it with paint to make it resemble a real gingerbread house.
I actually like having both styles in the collection because they show how differently the same Christmas theme can work as a laser cutting project.
Best for: 3D laser cutting, gingerbread displays and DIY Christmas decor.

11. Christmas Barn Lantern SVG Light Box
A Christmas barn isn’t something you see in every laser cut collection, which makes this project stand out.
The barn shape gives the light box a rustic farmhouse feel while the illuminated details keep it clearly Christmas-themed.
This would work particularly well in farmhouse or country-style holiday decor, but it could also be a fun gift for someone who prefers rustic Christmas decorations over traditional ornaments.
Best for: farmhouse Christmas decor, light boxes and rustic holiday displays.

12. 3D Christmas Tree Lantern Bundle
We’re finishing with another design that plays with the idea of a traditional Christmas lantern.
This bundle uses Christmas tree shapes to create decorative 3D lanterns, giving you something that sits somewhere between a wooden tree and an illuminated centerpiece.
They would look great grouped together or placed around a larger Christmas village display.
Best for: Christmas table decor, LED lighting and 3D wooden decorations.

Which Christmas Laser Cut Project Should You Make?
If you want something traditional, start with one of the Christmas laser cut houses or miniature villages. They’re easy to work into an existing Christmas display and look especially cozy with warm LED lights.
For something more decorative, the layered lanterns and Christmas tree night lights are probably my favorites. And if you want a project that feels a little more playful, one of the gingerbread houses would be fun to customize with paint.
Whichever design you choose, use LED lights rather than real candles inside wooden or acrylic laser-cut projects.
You can browse the designs above and choose the one that best fits your Christmas decorating style.
